Hayter, Luther, and Rowe Retire from MASA

The Missouri Association of School Administrators (MASA) hosted a heartfelt retirement reception on Tuesday, June 24, to celebrate the distinguished careers of Dr. Doug Hayter, David Luther, and Larry Rowe. Held at the MASA office in Jefferson City, the event brought together colleagues, business partners, and friends from across the state to honor the lasting impact of these three dedicated leaders.

The reception provided an opportunity for warm conversation, shared memories, and well-wishes for the retirees. Guests enjoyed refreshments while mingling and offering personal tributes to Doug, David, and Larry, each of whom has played a pivotal role in supporting Missouri’s school leaders.

  • Dr. Doug Hayter, MASA’s Executive Director for the past 10 years, plans to spend more time with his family and pursue part-time opportunities in retirement.

  • David Luther, who served as Communications Director for 10 years, will continue his leadership as Executive Director of the Missouri School Public Relations Association (MOSPRA).

  • Larry Rowe, whose tenure with MASA as Facility Manager spans an impressive 20 years, was also celebrated for his longstanding contributions and commitment to public education.

MASA extends its deepest gratitude to all three for their service, leadership, and dedication to Missouri’s school administrators. Their legacies will continue to influence and inspire for years to come.
