MASA welcomed its 2025–26 Region Presidents at an orientation meeting on Tuesday, June 24, at the Jefferson City office. The event marked a strong start to the year, introducing leaders to MASA’s governance, annual schedule, and comprehensive support programs designed especially for superintendents.
A highlight of the day was the official introduction of new Executive Director, Dr. Mark Penny, who delivered a thoughtful kick-off speech. Drawing from his extensive experience, Dr. Penny set a tone of collaboration, vision, and innovation for the year ahead.
“MASA is just a great organization,” said Dr. Theresa Christian, Superintendent of Concordia R-2 School District. "I’ve been involved with many professional groups over the years, and MASA truly sets the standard. The support, the leadership development, the connections—it’s unmatched."
