FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Jefferson City, Mo. — The Missouri Association of School Administrators (MASA) is pleased to announce the selection of two new Missouri representatives to serve on the AASA Governing Board, reflecting Missouri’s continued leadership and engagement at the national level.
During a membership-wide vote taken in April, Dr. Curtis Cain, Superintendent of the Rockwood School District, has been selected to replace Dr. Tim Dilg. Dr. Dilg recently accepted a position on the AASA Executive Committee, which requires him to forfeit his seat on the Governing Board. Dr. Cain will serve a three‑year term beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2029.
Dr. Adam Friga, Superintendent of Oran R‑III School District, has been selected to replace Dr. Kenny Rodrequez, who has accepted a position in Oklahoma and is therefore no longer eligible to represent Missouri on the AASA Governing Board. Dr. Friga will serve a one‑year replacement term ending June 30, 2027, and will be eligible to run for up to two additional three‑year terms thereafter.
“MASA is grateful to Dr. Dilg and Dr. Rodrequez for their service and leadership representing Missouri on the AASA Governing Board,” said Dr. Mark Penny, Executive Director of MASA. “We are equally appreciative of Dr. Cain and Dr. Friga for their willingness to serve in this important capacity, lending their voices and expertise to national conversations impacting public education.”
Dr. Cain and Dr. Friga will join Missouri’s current AASA Governing Board representatives:
John French, Lewis County C‑1
Dr. Sharonica Hardin‑Bartley, University City School District
Dr. David Buck, Lee’s Summit R‑VII School District
MASA thanks all Missouri representatives for their continued commitment to advocating for public education and ensuring Missouri’s perspective is represented at the federal level.
